An estate vehicle is a car left behind after someone passes away. It happens a few times a year around the Tri Cities, usually a family SUV or sedan sitting in a driveway that nobody is insured to drive. It can be recycled, and it is not complicated once you know who signs.
Every estate is a little different

Who can sign for the vehicle
Whoever has legal authority over the estate, normally the executor or administrator. ICBC will want to see proof of that authority along with government photo ID. If you are unsure which document you hold, bring what you have and mention it on the call.
What usually gets asked for

How pickup works
The same as any other vehicle. Towing is free, the vehicle does not need to run, the plates come off and stay with the family, and cash is handed over before it goes on the deck. If it is easier for a family member to meet the truck, that is fine as long as they hold the authority to sign.
